Media members following the Tim Walz motorcade were involved in a car accident and some members of the press were possibly injured. The media was following Tim Walz in press vans when it happened. Tim Walz’s motorcade kept going. A report on USA Today, syndicated by MSN, reported the following:
Walz’s vehicle was not affected and continued on toward the Summerfest grounds, where he is scheduled to speak at LaborFest. Near the back of the motorcade, vans carrying members of the press and Democratic Rep. Gwen Moore pulled over, and various people were evaluated at the scene for injuries.A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter and photographer were among the media members traveling in the vans. The crash happened along northbound Interstate 43, just north of the Layton Avenue exit.
