SP. Midtjylland Conceded Within Six Seconds After Bizarre Kick-Off Tactic

The Danish side ended the match losing 2-0 to FCSB

Danish top flight outfit Midtjylland FC lost their Europa League match-up on Thursday night 2-0 against a far more drilled FCSB, who ply their trade in the top division of Romania – but shot themselves in the foot within six seconds of the second half getting underway to inflict further damage on the scoreline.

Midfielder Florin Tanase, scoring directly from a free-kick, put the hosts up one goal to the good in the 16th minute but their second goal, courtesy of Daniel Birligea, for the wrong reasons, stole the show. The visiting side started the second stage with every man, bar the goalkeeper, practically on the half way line before passing it back to said shot stopper.

In an attempt to go long and find one of the many white shirts flooding the FCSB half, the man between the sticks – Elias Olafsson – was charged down by goalscorer Birligea, who managed to prevent him getting a pass off, and the ball then looped towards with the 24-year-old striker adding the finishing touch by heading it in.
