The message said: “The family, including his mother, Emily, and his son, little Jacoby, is together and is asking for your prayers, privacy, and support as they negotiate this difficult time.” Although the reason of death is yet unknown, the flood of tributes and sympathies from all over has been astounding.
Among the first to pay Jacoby homage was his former colleague J.J. Watt, who sent a moving Instagram message. “Jacoby was one of the most fun-loving teammates and people I’ve ever been around,” Watt wrote.
