On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales hosted a meeting at Windsor Castle to commemorate a significant advancement in her fight against cancer.
The 42-year-old Princess of Wales met with members of her Centre for Early Childhood team and the Kensington Palace staff at Windsor Castle regarding her early years childhood project, as per the Court Circular, the official record of the Royal family’s activities, as reported by The Telegraph.
According to The Telegraph, the event entry states, “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle this afternoon.”
The princess’s return to work and engagements in the upcoming months will commence with her attendance. Princess Catherine announced she had finished her chemotherapy treatment in a social media video message on September 9. On March 22, she made her cancer diagnosis public.
According to The Telegraph, Princess Catherine was kept informed about her Early Years project during her illness and once she recovered enough to work from home.
According to the Royal Family’s official website, the project looks at “how experiences in early childhood are often the root cause of today’s hardest social challenges such as addiction, family breakdown, poor mental health, suicide and homelessness.”
Catherine appeared in public twice: on July 14 at Wimbledon and at Trooping the Colour in mid-June.
As of right now, Catherine is only “potentially” anticipated to attend a Remembrance Sunday service on November 10 in support of the Royal family as well as veterans and their families. The following month, she will host Westminster Abbey for her yearly carol concert.
But the princess hasn’t confirmed any other engagements. As soon as possible, a source tells the outlet, Catherine will participate in royal duties. She might have up to “a handful” of engagements or “a light program” of work.
Anmer Hall, the country house of Catherine’s family, served as the setting for the three-minute video that announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatment. In the video, Prince William, 42, was accompanied by their kids, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” she stated. “As a family, the past nine months have been extremely difficult. We had to figure out how to travel through the rough seas and uncharted territory because life as we know it can change drastically in an instant.”
Princess Catherine said, in part, “The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.” “With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”
The princess remained focused on avoiding cancer and expressed her excitement about “taking on a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
“She is really concerned about her well-being and had a great summer. She will undoubtedly be doing less”, a person close to her told PEOPLE magazine recently.
