Former President Donald Trump’s campaign took a moment to focus attention on President Joe Biden’s second-in-command, Vice President Kamala Harris, in an 82-second video that went viral soon after it was posted.
While it may seem out of the ordinary that Trump’s campaign would take time to focus on Harris, the temporary shift makes sense because she will assume the presidency if Biden happens to win a second term and cannot finish it.
The ad highlights several of Harris’ most infamous gaffes and is interspersed with her trademark “cackling” laugh. The ad begins with this word salad from Harris: “Talking about the significance of the passage of time. Right? The significance of the passage of time. So, when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time … and there is such great significance to the passage of time.”
The rest of her quote also did not make much sense: “And there is such great significance to the passage of time when we think about a day in the life of our children and what that means to the future of our nation, depending on whether or not they have the resources they need to achieve their God-given talent,” she told an audience.
Another quote in the video is more recent and came just a few days ago: “So the importance of community banks is they are, as they are called, they’re in the community, led by members of the community. People who understand the capacity of the community, the needs of the community, the culture of the community.”

Earlier this month, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich issued a scathing response when questioned about Harris’ ability — or lack of it — to be the leader of the free world.
“Kamala’s hopeless because she’s Kamala. Anybody who watches her knows the idea of her being President makes Biden look good, which is really hard nowadays,” he said when he appeared on the Fox News show “Hannity.”
“You have to start with the idea that she has imprinted on the country, permanently, that she’s a very shallow, uneducated, and uneducable person other than her weird laugh. There’s no significant part of her,” he said.
In March, during another appearance on “Hannity,” the former Speaker made similar comments about the vice president.
“You know, he [Biden] may or may not have cognitive decline problems at his age, but at her age, she’s just dumb,” he said. “Let’s be clear: Kamala Harris may be the dumbest person ever elected vice president in American history, and that’s why people keep resigning.”
“If you were her national security adviser, and you were competent, and you’d worked hard, and you knew what you were doing, and you watched her in Poland break up laughing when she’s asked about Ukrainian refugees, you had to feel a sense of total humiliation,” the former Speaker said.
“So I’m not surprised that that particular adviser resigned because it’s very clear that Kamala Harris should never, ever be allowed to leave the country,” he said.
Harris, meanwhile, has agreed to a single debate against whomever former President Donald Trump chooses to be his running mate. The agreement came after an announcement by Fox News anchors Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier on Friday that their network had made the offer to host a VP debate.
