And it was, indeed, a huge success.
It was reported that Messi gathered over 125,000 concurrent live viewers during the livestream, with millions of fans from around the world tuning in to watch the Argentine take on his first-ever MLS playoff game.
The livestream — as expected — ended in the most Messi-way possible, with fans witnessing the phenom provide the game-winning assist to Jordi Alba, pushing Miami one game closer to advancing to the quarterfinals of the tournament
