Americans are fed up after Lester Holt appeared to suggest that Donald Trump and his rhetoric are to blame for the second potential assassination attempt on his life. Lester Holt tied the rhetoric to Springfield, Ohio, where there are rumors of Haitian migrants eating animals such as cats, dogs, ducks, or whatever.
The only official report that showed a woman arrested for killing a cat was from another town, last month, and she’s an American citizen dealing with mental health issues. That bodycam arrest video is here. Other than that, there aren’t any official videos or pictures yet – mostly just people telling their stories. More proof, such as the pictures or videos, would be needed for the media to take this more seriously if it’s happening.
Social media has mostly made tons of memes out of it, somewhat making a joke out of the situation. Donald Trump mentioned it during the debate with Kamala Harris. Lester Holt is referring to that sort of rhetoric. But making claims, jokes, memes, or anything verbal isn’t really a good reason for someone to be the victim of a potential assassination, and Americans think Lester Holt should be fired for this.
I think everyone needs to stop arguing and start investigating. Go see if it’s happening. Work together to fix whatever is wrong, and stop all this political drama that’s putting Americans against each other. It’s really getting tiring…
