British royal family news reveals that Catherine, the Princess of Wales shared a social media message today referencing the UK’s new chief scout Dwayne Fields. While the message was brief, it delighted royal fans who are looking forward to the princess’s return to active duty.
Kate is the joint president of the Scout Association and her X tweet was signed off with her signature initial ‘C.’

The Princess of Wales announced in March that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment following a cancer diagnosis delivered in February. The diagnosis was given based on tests she had done in January at the time of a planned abdominal surgery.

After her videotaped March announcement, Kate stepped back from public royal duties. She has been since twice in a public role since then, at Trooping the Colour in June and at Wimbledon in July.
The message heartened royalists who are looking forward to the mother-of-three being given a clean bill of health.
According to the organization’s website Kate supported the Scouts as a volunteer while she and William lived as newlyweds on Anglesey.

Kate’s latest tweet comes on the heels of her husband Prince William gaining attention for what the Daily Mail calls his “summer beard.”
Today the prince sported his stubble as he visited a homelessness exhibition but fans first saw his new look “in an online video with Kate in August, when they praised the achievements of the nation’s athletes after the Paris Olympics.”

William and his beard were photographed as the future king toured Homelessness: Reframed, an exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
Fields is first black Briton to reach the North Pole and he was made the UK’s new chief scout yesterday. He was Born in Jamaica, and came to the UK at the age of six.
His goal is to demonstrate that the group “is a family for absolutely anyone” and plans to appeal to those in inner cities. Fields replaces Bear Grylls who was appointed chief scout in 2009.
