Catherine, Princess of Wales – aka Kate Middleton – made her public return on Monday, March 10, on one of the most important days in the royal calendar. Monday marked Commonwealth Day, which saw the royal family gather for a church service at Westminster Abbey.
The return was also significant in that Kate had to miss the event a year ago due to her cancer diagnosis. King Charles has also been focused on his recovery recently, but he was also seen participating in his duties after a break.
King Charles arrived first with his wife, Queen Camilla, and Prince William and Princess Kate followed behind them. When father and son met, they briefly exchanged a few words, which were not captured by cameras or microphones. Since the cancer diagnosis, the couple has taken advantage of every opportunity to touch each other in their public appearances, but this time they showed a different side.
This time they had a more professional appearance in a more traditional royal direction, moving separately – but still in synchrony, mirroring each other’s movements.
Princess Kate, who has returned to public life and royal duties, wore a stunning red Catherine Walker dress that resembled a coat and a matching Gina Foster pillbox hat.
The princess’s outfit, as usual, has also sparked a lot of discussion on social media, where it has been discussed in detail, down to the last detail. Some royal fans have noted that the outfit may also have a hidden message. The hidden meaning is believed to be related to the strained relations between the United States and Canada.

Canada has been in the news a lot in recent weeks after US President Donald Trump said the country should be their 51st state. Trump has also imposed heavy tariffs on goods between the two countries.
Canada is part of the Commonwealth of Nations, which consists of the United Kingdom and its former colonies and overseas territories. In total, the Commonwealth includes 56 member states, in addition to Great Britain, Canada and Australia. King Charles is also the monarch of Canada, although the real power in the country is held by the prime minister and the governor general of Canada.
