Meri Brown, known from the reality show Sister Wives, has shared her concerns about the division of Coyote Pass, the Flagstaff, Arizona property owned jointly with her former husband, Kody Brown. In a candid conversation during the January 19 episode of the show, Meri revealed that Kody expressed a viewpoint that her smaller family size does not entitle her to an equal portion of the land.
Meri Brown Speaks Out
While sitting with her close friend Jenn Sullivan on the porch of her home in Parowan, Utah, Meri discussed the uncertainty surrounding the future of Coyote Pass. She recalled an email she had sent to Kody and other involved parties in an effort to initiate discussions regarding the property’s distribution.
“You sent that email to everyone, saying, ‘Let’s talk about the property and set a date,’” Jenn reminded her, leading Meri to provide more details about the situation.
“I proposed a timeline of about a week and a half for us to start the conversation,” Meri explained. “Janelle responded, saying she was ready to talk. But Kody’s response was, ‘I’ve already been talking to all the right people.’”
Jenn, visibly frustrated, responded, “But you are the right people!”
“That’s exactly what I told him,” Meri said. “I told him, ‘I’m the right people.’ But honestly, I have no idea who he’s talking to or what he’s planning. That’s all I know.”
Uncertainty and Exclusion
Meri expressed her frustration at being left out of the decision-making process. She admitted she felt disconnected from Kody’s discussions about Coyote Pass and feared that decisions might already be in motion without her input.
“I honestly have no clue what’s happening,” she confessed, emphasizing her concern that Kody may be moving forward with property plans without including her in the conversations.
Challenges in Property Division
The candid discussion between Meri and Jenn highlights the ongoing challenges in determining how Coyote Pass will be allocated among the former spouses. The uncertainty surrounding property ownership and division has been a topic of contention among the family members, particularly as relationships within the family have shifted over time.
Meri’s concerns point to a larger issue of communication and transparency within the group, especially when it comes to making important decisions that impact multiple parties.
Looking Ahead
As discussions about Coyote Pass continue, Meri remains determined to advocate for her fair share. While she acknowledges the complexities involved, she also emphasizes the importance of open dialogue and equitable decision-making.
The situation remains unresolved, and viewers of Sister Wives continue to follow developments closely. Whether Meri will ultimately secure a portion of the property or face further challenges in her pursuit remains to be seen. However, one thing is certain—she is not backing down from the conversation.
